Welcome to the news section of the Hockey Cheer site.  I'm about 89.736% sure this will work, but we'll see.  Feel free to comment if I am indeed successful.

I hope you had a chance to make it to Willett Arena for the Pointer's home opener against the St. Thomas Tommies.  It was a very exciting game - and with the final score of 5-3, they kept us cheerleaders quite busy.  All 5 stunts we threw (all but one making their Willett debut) were solid and well done.  I kept telling the fans that our squad may be new, but they're naturals and luckily they proved my point.  Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun.  Starting line up was a bit scattered...I promise it'll be light-years better on Friday.

Which brings me to my point, finally:  Mark your calendars!  The Pointers will take on TWO teams next weekend.  Friday we will host the Hamline University Pipers at 7:30, then on Saturday we battle Bethel; same time, same place.  For more information, check out the Pointer SportsPage online.
